ok that is just plain wrong

I wanted to see if there were other suffers of chronic pain... although I'm not quiet ready to put myself in that group but you know to see what other people had to say about it. So I put the words "chronic pain" in the blogger search box and MY own blog is the only one that shows up!

Hummm there must be a way to search other blog type things out there.... I mean you can't google it because you just get a bunch of news stories. I want to connect to other people not read about the newest latest greatest thing that won't work.

Way cool - thank you, Achro and Achro's Mom! I had no idea how to search blogspots.

Achro, have they given you a "diagnosis," yet? Fibromyalgia, maybe? RSD? There are many sites set up by people who suffer from these things and other kinds of chronic pain. Some are very informative as far as technical info go.

But in their chat rooms, there was a mindset that I found difficult to accept. There's a lot of, "Oh, I'm sitting here waiting for the meds to kick in, how are you doing?" "Waiting for meds, too." It sounded defeating to me. It just didn't seem healthy to buy into the notion that these illnesses are going to cripple us for life, and all we can do is limp along with a resigned and depressed attitude of "I can't." I don't think you have that attitude at all. You're quite a fighter!

For me, at least, the best remedy for the pain was to keep moving - and oh, what an effort it is. But otherwise, being physically out of shape starts causing more pain. But exercising with pain is not easy, as you already know. Then there are the surgical procedures, like you had, that keep us from being able to move for awhile, and give us more to overcome.

I hope you find some good blogs by others who are suffering - I'll keep checking in to see if any catch your eye.
